Cambridge West Coast Swing – EastonSwing Tuesdays, start a new beginner course on 4 occasions throughout the year. January/March/June/September.
The new beginner course is a 6 week block booking of classes. During these 6 weeks you will learn the 5 basic patterns plus ‘tuck pass’, ‘fake whip’ and ‘Starter step’. In addition to these core patterns you will also learn the basic concepts of leading and following in WCS. Plus learning to keep time to music.
The Beginner or Fundamentals class is the second class of the evening and you’re welcome to come along early and watch the Progressive class to get an idea of what you’ll be able to do with a little practice. there is a third class that is also suitable for new dancers to take. This class will begin to build upon the basic concepts and patterns, we call it the Improver class.
Once the course is over. We continue the Level 1 Fundamental tuition but work more on the action and style of the dance. Allowing individuals to achieve the look of a WCS dancer.
