About us
EastonSwing was founded by Lee and Fabienne Easton. Both world renowned WCS instructors and choreographers, they have over 25 years’ experience in West Coast Swing and a passion for sharing their love of dance with others across the world.
They created EastonSwing after attending several events in the USA including Boogie by the Bay, Swing Diego, and the US Open. Inspired by the experience, they returned with a passion to grow a community of West Coast Swing dancers in the UK and provide an experience to others like the ones they enjoyed in the US.
Lee and Fab have a strong vision for EastonSwing which goes beyond just a local dance class. Here’s what’s most important to them, and how they’re working to bring it to life.

Grow a UK wide community
EastonSwing was built to grow West Coast Swing beyond one class, one venue, or even one teacher. Lee and Fab created a methodology that others can follow, delivering the same high-quality experience wherever you dance.
The anchor in our logo is more than a dance step — it’s the foundation of who we are. When you see it, you know you’re getting great teaching, a welcoming community, and the unmistakable EastonSwing energy.

Provide a complete experience
To become a truly accomplished social dancer, regular classes are essential, but they’re only the beginning. You also need moments of focused, intensive learning to help you break through plateaus and overcome challenges. You need opportunities to put your skills into action, dancing with both familiar partners and new faces. And you need events that inspire you, opening doors to the global dance community, and giving you goals to aim for, whether that’s performing, competing, or simply social dancing.
EastonSwing delivers it all — the complete West Coast Swing experience from one organisation. Classes, workshops, parties, and events. And our focus on community means you never experience this alone.

Become part of the global scene
While our ambition is to grow West Coast Swing here in the UK, the dance is part of a vibrant global community and we’re proud to play our part in supporting it. Lee and Fab regularly travel worldwide, teaching at major events, helping organisers run them successfully, and supporting the dancers who attend.
One standout example is the Zero to Hero programme, an idea from our own community member, Vicky Vasiliauskaite. With Lee and Fab’s backing, this concept has grown into a feature at multiple events across the globe, helping new dancers feel confident, included, and inspired when attending their first events.

Make the hard stuff easier
Dancing is all about having fun, but to truly enjoy yourself and improvise with confidence, you need solid technique. West Coast Swing can be hard when you first start learning, but EastonSwing never skimps on teaching technique. Instead, they focus on making it accessible. By organising techniques and patterns into clear levels, they ensure you get the right content at the right time. Each level is built with progress in mind, leading naturally to the next. Your growth is easy to track, and the EastonSwing crew is always there to guide and support you as you move forward.
This idea is what inspired our supergraphic — you’ll see it to the right and throughout much of our marketing. It symbolises the stages of progress every dancer experiences.
It starts with learning the steps and experiencing movement. As your confidence grows, this movement turn into connection, and eventually, expression. And it doesn’t happen just once. This cycle repeats again and again: always learning, always progressing, always discovering your own style. That’s what we love most about West Coast Swing.
