West Coast Swing Beginners
Next West Coast Swing Beginners Course – Enfield-June 6th, Finchley- June 7th, Cambridge- June 7th, Northampton- June 8th
We all have to start somewhere and one of our seasonal 6-week West Coast Swing Beginners courses is the ideal way to begin your journey with this fascinating dance. The course will focus on you learning the ‘5 basics of WCS’ plus Starter Step, Tuck Pass & Basic in Place. Plus, learning the basic handholds and how to keep time to music.
All of our groups are really friendly, you’ll soon be making new friends to practice with. No need for a partner, Flat or low heeled, smooth-soled shoes are ideal, trainers or rubberised soles may offer too much grip to learn easily.
8.45pm-9.15pm | WCS Basics
9.30pm-10pm | Improvers
On Tuesdays, in Finchley, class starts 15 minutes later.
It may take a few weeks of practice before you’re ready for the Improver class when first starting out.
You are welcome to stay and watch the Improver class as you pick up the ropes. Then stay after the lessons for freestyle practice and to get know everyone.
Can’t make it out on a weeknight then join us on a weekend session where we will cover all the basic patterns and concepts in one session. Beginner bootcamp sessions are held on Sundays.
12.30pm-3.30pm | WCS Basics – Level 1
12.30pm-3.30pm | WCS Beginners – Level 2
Brand new to WCS? then join us for Level 1. If you’ve done a little bit of WCS already but still consider yourself a Beginner then join us for Level 2. There will be different instructors for each level. We will all be working within 1 room and taking breaks at the same time.
